OPATCH 6397029 note 871735 Download OracleMetaLink patch 5746835.

Hello All,

I am patching the oracle database as per note 871735. Oracle is 10.g and version patched is 10.2.0.2.

I have updated the OPATCH version as per the readme.html file in oracle patch 6397029 . I have successfully applied the patch but after patching, I found some

Preinstallation Instructions like

1) Download OracleMetaLink patch 5746835.

The question is how can I get the oracle Metalink patch 5746835?.

I got the patch 6397029 and OPATCH 10.2.0.2.4 from service market place. but how can I find the patch 5746835 from SAP?.

Also when i tried to use the https://metalink.oracle.com/ link to check for that patch ,it is prompting for metalink username and password which I don't have.

How can I get this patch 5746835?. is it necessary?.

Please help with some tips.
