On day difference between APO and R/3

Former Member

Hello,

We have a problem that the Enddate of all planned orders have one day difference between APO and R/3.

Exemple:

Planned Order XX:

Enddate R/3 ==> 6th march 2008

Enddate APO ==> 5th march 2008

Do you know this poblem? Where could it comes from?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Thomas

Thomas,

Please check if both the servers are in CET time zone. I understand PP/DS allows to set-up time zones too.

FYI

I asked the same question on SAP Support. The answer is:

The order end date in APO is the end date of the last activity. It's

13.08.2008 24:00:00. The end date of the last activity is shown as

14.08.2008 00:00:00. The time 24:00 of a day x is identical with time

00:00 of the day x+1. For end times, the system displays 24:00 hours.

The relevant reason for this is described in points 10 and 11 of note

397989.

If the system is always meant to display 00:00 hours of the following

day instead of 24:00 hours, please have a look into the solution of note829717.

************************************************************************

When you implement the following changes, the APO

system will always display 00:00 hours.

Call transaction SE38.

Change the "/SAPAPO/LTIMESTAMPTOP" program.

Replace the row "gc_use_twentyfour TYPE bool VALUE gc_true." with

"gc_use_twentyfour TYPE bool VALUE gc_false.".

I will try to do theses changes. Thank you anywas for your help.

I think its timing... APO assumes available end of one date and R/3 assumes available at beginning of next date... Or vice versa. I would have to investigate. But they are rarely the same. Factory calendars also are considered by R/3 but not APO (except in defined in location) and/or resources.

This may be a number of things but I would start with Goods Receipt Processing time in the R/3 Material Master record. Try changing this and see if it corrects your problem. Probably this is being added to the planned order as it transfers to R/3.

If that does not work then there is a data inconsistancy between the 2 systems and you will need to check every piece of master data that may affect the scheduled time in the order.
