Hi,
Doesn document date in sales order header have an effect on pricing? In a SO document date ws 23rd jan, and thr were 2 prices mainted in vk12, validity dates were as follows,
price 15, 23rd to 24th
price 18, 25th onwards
even though update pricing in SO ws used, price always picked as 15. but if the document date ws chnged or the 2nd condition record ws backdated, it picked the price as 18.
can anyone pls explain y this could be?
Thanks
Keshi
Hi,
The system will only look at this field VBKD-PRSDT while determining values from the condition record. If VBKD-PRSDT field is with in the date given in the condition record then that particular condition record value will be picked up. This field will be there in Overview screen --> sales tab page.
Even when you do update pricing as you have already entered / change the data in the VBKD-PRSDT field the system will look for con records with in this date and will try to ppopulate the respective values.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards
Charkadhar

Dear Keshini
The system proposes the current date in the sale order. You can change it manually in the document. If you change the pricing date, the system recalculates pricing for the entire document. If the date is in the past, you receive a warning before you can continue.
In the order: You can customize the order type to determine a proposal, such as the current date or the requested delivery date as the pricing date.
In the billing document: The billing date is proposed as the pricing date.

Hi,
Basically, document pricing date in controlled thro vov8. Propose pricing date. The blank setting in vov8 ensures that price will be todays/document date.
Reward if useful.

Hi,
Check your order type in VOV8, the pricing date is based on the setting mentioned in the field Propose pricing date. Normally it is based on the delivery date or current date. For contract it is based on the start date.
