order processing errors

when i m saving sales order, one error message is coming....... "legal control : issue error log-item"

in the detail of this error, message is showing "specify export data in material master".

pls anybody give the solution of this problem.

Whether you are creating an export order or domestic order, this part (legal control) is immaterial and you dont want to maintain this. Of course, you need to assign the correct sales area to your order type in OVAZ.

To change this setting, go to OMS9, select your material type (FERT, HALB etc) and change the setting to "Optional entry".

I think you are making an export sales order and you should maintain the material's Foreign Trade: Export Data view. For this you should do it by MM01 transaction and rewriting the material again and maintain the foreign trade view.

After that I think there won't be a problem. But you may need to do some customizing about Foreign trade.
