hi ,
Iam very new to netweaver and would like to know what is the significance of netweaver and how to work on it.Being an abaper should i know any languages like java and xml to work with netweaver . Is there any materials or sites avaliable where i can get proper information about netweaver for a beginner ?? .
Thanks in advance,
kasi.
Raj,
although its a far cry from the standard SAP books I'm sure you've read, SAP NetWeaver for Dummies will give you a good overview of all the pieces of NW, how the work together and some examples of NW in action. Not a very techincal resource, but if you want to figure out the whole of Netweaver, its a good place to start, and it won't give you a headache.
You can order it at Amazon or Barnes & Noble starting next week.
Don't worry, I don't get a commission for selling the books
Hope it helps.
Jeff

You arrived at the right site, SDN is the place for all information surrounding NetWeaver.
We have a getting started section that you should check out: https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/developerareas/netweaver.sdn?page=GetStart_NetWeaver.htm
Then you may want to replay some presentations regarding the NetWeaver Platfrom: https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/elearning.sdn?page=eL_NW.htm
There is even an introduction one.
Enjoy, Mark.
