uninstalling sapinst software

Hi,

While installing pi7.0, we installed choose service, define parameters, check parameters, but got an error in execute service. So want to uninstall this sapinst, but unable to uninstall this ssapinst, so can anyone tell how to uninstall this software.

After you stop the install you'll have to run the sapinst again and choose the uninstall option. The uninstall option is under additional software life-cycle tasks.

Make sure you do your key right or you will have to uninstall it again. Your solution manager key is created from your hardware ID, your sid and you license. If you use the wrong license (which I did a few times) you'll have to do it again.

The sapinst comes with an uninstall option. You will see it at the bottom of your list when you start the sapinst. Sometimes it doesn't clean up everything. Once it's done running, check that the the userids have been deleted (<sid>adm and Sapservice<sid>), the /usr directory can be removed. If your running winows you'll need to remove the services with ntscmgr command. Also, its a good practice to delete the sapinst directory before starting again. That keeps all your parameter values for your next install.

Hi Lee,

It was already installed upto "check parameters"but error getting error in "execute server",

here the following error it is showing for me,

" The Solution Manager key '1AC7C06E96' is not valid. Enter the correct key for host 'mcityserv4', the SAP system ID 'PI7' and the central instance number '00'. "

So want to reinstall sapinst but we r not getting how to uninstall it.
