BOM in SAP SRM?

Hi,

Can you please help me answer:

Which possibilities are there to use bills of material (BOMs) in SAP SRM 5.0 or beyond? We are using Material Master data replicated from MM in SRM Extended Classic Scenario?

Is there any documentation available? I have not been able to find any.

The threads you listed does not give any solution to use BOMs in SAP SRM 5.0.

Should I then assume BOM functionality is not available, either as a suggested development approach or as standard, in SRM 5.0 and above?

As far as I know there is no BOM functionality in SRM 5.0. You might want to take a look at the hierarchy item (you can see how it looks by ordering services using bbpsc18 - temporary labor).

If I recall correctly the next version of SRM does have BOM (the cancelled SRM 2007 has a reference to it on help.sap.com), don't take my word for it though.

Hi,

there is no concept of BOM in SRM..

It is not supported , only availability is the hierarchy for service items --> even there ---> there is no concept of multi -level..

service items ---> and the hierarchy.
