Call an external service directly from MDM

Hi all!

We are working with MDM 5.5 SP6 and SAP portal 7.0.

We have already implemented a Portal application where some fields are calculated automatically calling a R3 BAPI and there are complex validations before saving the data to MDM.

Know we have new requirements where some users need to modify data directly from MDM, so we need to find a way to fill automatically calculated fields by R3 and control complex validations.

Is that possible?

In other words, is possible to call an external service (Web Service, EJB, or whatever) directly and automatically (when user creates/change a record) from MDM Data Manager?

MDM Enrichment Architecture would certainly help you on invoking an External Service. You might have to develop a Java Enrichment Adaptor to invoke the External service. Here is the [link|https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001119822007E]

Hi,

I dont think we have this funtionality in MDM5.5 SP05.

May be its possible using Enetrprise Portal after accessing MDM Data Manager using it.
