Data length and increment of Group Item Number, /INCMD/SNO

The Group Item Number used for uniquely identifying a group or material number in Product Substitution Procedures and FFF classes etc. have a data length of 5 (which implies a maximum of 99999 records) and increment of 10, the combination of which results in a maximum of 9999 records for any FFF class or Product Substitution Procedure. We have a need to have more than 100,000 records/items in a Product Substitution Procedure which is not possible with the current functionality. Has anyone made modifications to increase the records, and if so how?

Hi,

Can you please elaborate your problem, because in our project we were able to create more than 25,000 records including FFF groups and FFF subset, also we had no problem in creating same number of records for supersession.

I think the INCMD number range available is sufficient to define around 18 digit group.

Please revert back with the exact issue.

Thanks,

Sanjog
