What arguments could I result for my customer to choise SAP XI for non-SAP integration?
XI is expensive. BIZTALK is cheap.
Are there benefits of XI in non-SAP application integration?
It depends on your non-SAP systems and number of interfaces to be developed. Let's say you have most of the interfaces between Siebel and JD Edwards then you have to look for an integrating tool which provides adapters for those two systems.
I agree that SAP is expensive when compared to lot of products in the market and obviously this is a deciding factor.
It is the client's descretion whether to use XI or not.
