Hello,
I am looking for autocad- sap config document with screenshots. (We have already gone through two standard guides provided by sap - not looking for standard pdfs)
Will reward full points.

Hi Anirudh,

Which AutoCAD Version u r using?
The version of CAD integration?
Are you using the Third Party software Cideon CAD integration to integrate SAP and ACAD?

Hi MRK,
actaully i have a query as to how do you create a BOM in SAP from autocad titleblock.
The docu from Cideon says that, BOM data is transferred from Block as we dont have Parent Child Relationship.
CAn you give some inputs.
We are on AutoCAD 2004 using cideon interface 4.0.0.0
Thanks,
Niranjan
Hi Niranjan,
First thing BOM in SAP cannot created from Autocad Title block.
You can create BOM in AutoCAD.
Based on this AutoCAD BOM, the BOM in SAP will be created.
you can see the AutoCAD BOM in the part list.
There is no parent child relationship between SAP BOM and AutoCAD BOM means.
Manual Deletion of SAP BOM item will not affect the AutoCAD BOM item. AutoCAD BOM acts as the leading one.
Hope i have answered your question.
Regards,
MRK
Hi Niranjan,
BOM and Title block has no relationship.
Im working ACAD Mechanical 2007, Here BOM Database tool is available in ACAD.
You can create Part references for each and every parts in your drawing.
You can create balloons to refer each and every part references.
You can create material(in SAP) using Create material in CAD integration menu, for the balloons.
You can create part list using the BOM Database tool. This lists the Parts.
Finally you can create BOM using Create BOM in CAD Integration Menu.
This is how you can create BOM in SAP.
Regards,
MRK.
