Hi,

We are evaluation XI for integrating

1.SAP to non SAP Products &

2. Two different non SAP products such as INFOR (WMS) & Retek using XI.

My query is what are the different options to achieve this, which of one will be a better solution in terms of providing robust architecture.

1. Web Services

2. IDocs

3. File Adapter

4. JDBC or

5. SOAP adapter.

Request your inputs.

Regards

Hi Ashish,

It depends on your requirement you will use the Adapters.

You are saying that the others are non SAP, generally we will use file Adapter or JDBC Adapter ( if it is a database)for that type of Applications

Hi Ashish,

Its depends on ur source & destination,

If u wann to connect to Database(Oracle, Access etc ) u hv to use JDBC Adapter,

If u want o/p file in XML or flat file format u hv to use FIle Adapter.

If ur one side is SAP then u can use IDOC or Proxies or RFC.

It all depends on ur scenario.

Each adapter has its limitation on size of data it can process at a time.

Thanks,

Maheshwari.

Hi Ashis,

integration of SAP and Non-SAP

For integration between SAP to non-SAp u can use the following adpaters in SAP side.

1)IDoc

2)RFC and

3)Proxy

Check here which adpater u should use and whats the advantage of each.

2. Two different non SAP products such as INFOR (WMS) & Retek using XI.

Thats totaly depend upon ur requirement.

if u r communication with webservice then use SOAP

For FIle use File Adapter.

For Database use JDBC.

For messaging system use JMS.
