Hello -

I am trying to upload the attributes values list.

It is said that the value mapping is not required to import the text values yet the " Map" Button is greyed out in the field mapping section and the system is not allowing me to import the data due to that,

Please advise

Hi Nadine,

please follow these steps:

1. first go to your taxonomy table (for ex: T1-->lookup taxonomy) in destination and map this table with any compatible source field.

2. do the value mapping for the table.

3. map all display fields and their values.

4. now map all attributes. i think if you will follow all previous steps correctly. it will allow you to mar attributes and their values.

please rewards if found helpful.

hi Nadine

I assume that u are not able to do field mapping for attribute values in field mapping section. Check the match records tab and remove all existing matching fields in that tab.

Now try mapping fields..

let me know result

Hi Nadine,

for uploading attribute values, refer to my article:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/8090941f-a5a7-2a10-3ba6-b4af5ec6...

hope this will solve your problem,

Hi Nadine,

Once you have imported the attribute name field then you have to again map it during the attribute value mapping because when you do that you get values transferred to the destination side along with the attribute name field.

Try this order

1) Attribute Name >> Attribute Name

2) Attribute values >> Attribute name & attribute Values.

3) Attribute Links >> Node and Attribute Name.

Hope this helps you .....

Hi Nadine,

Yes thats ryt. To import attribute values we done have to do the value mapping.

Ideally it should not stop you from importing the records.

Try this out:(I am assuming your destination table is "Taxonomy_Table_Name [Text Values]".

1] Go to field mapping tab.

2] Right click on the "Attribute Name" field from the destination window.

3] Choose option what you want to do. e.g. "Append".

4] Do record matching on the attrubute name.

This should allow you to import.

oops.. my mistake...

I meant right click on "Text value" field. and select option "Set Multivalued Update".

Now accordingly choose what operation you want to perform.

Append / Replace.
