Hi,
I'm performing a homogeneous system copy with the Oracle backup/restore method.
Source system: AIX 5.3oracle 10.2SAP NW 2004s(AS-ABAP+AS-JABA).
I select below on the Welcome scree (sapinst starts) on the target system:
SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Support Release 2 -> Additional Software Life-Cycle Tasks -> System Copy -> Oracle -> Target
System <Central System>.
When i enter the parameter for database with SAPinst, SAPinst prompts for the software package - "Migration Export".
To my knowledge, "Migration Export" should be expoted from the source system with sapinst. However i'm using a backup/restore method. and also SAP didn't deliver a media named "migration export'. So i'm not aware what is the migration export.
Is there something wrong?
Could you please help to look at this?
Thanks,
Joseph
Hi,
Option selected by you is used only in case of system copy using export/import.
If you perform system copy with backup/restore, you do not need to run SAPinst...

Thanks wojtek,
I'm seeking the solution is for Oracle-Specific Procedure, which is mentioned in the system copy guide.
SAPinst would prompt for the installation type when you install a target system, there is an option is Homogeneous System Copy (Backup/Restore).
I don't know why there is a request for "Migration Export".
