Problems with MI SmartSync Application in AWT an Mobile 5.0

Hi,I have developed a MI SmartSync Application in AWT (ZRER_MAG is the name of application).

I used MI7.0 sp09.

I have a problem. When I do start the application in the my developer system (WinXP) it's all right.

But when start application in the PDA with Windows Mobile 5.0 the application doesn't work.

Hi,

I do not really see a problem in the trace as such - so my question is: what is the problem? Do you get an error message? It seems the App itself starts fine - do you get an exception when you press a button?

Can it be that the code is not in JDK1.1.8? You can compile Apps in JDK1.4 or later and run them on PDA, do not missunderstand me, but if the syntax is not JDK1.1.8 conform, it will not work on PDA.

Can you give us some more informations?

Hi, thanks for your help.

I compile with 1.4 and use CrEme 3.27.

I found the problem but i don't know the solution.

I have this code in the application:

Class parType[] = { ControllerPage.class };

}

in this point res = con.newInstance(arglist) there is a exception (but the same code in the MDK_configExampleAWT application in the same device, with the same compiler it's all right).

Hi,

well, there I need to debug I think. If the error is in that line I would suggest that the given parameters have a problem. If you have the working example form AWT, check the parameters for:

ControllerPage consParam

I think there you have an issue.

Thanks for your help, but the my problems is another (i think).

I can use Hashtable and Set collection wiht Creme 3.27?

I have many errors as:

"...The method keySet() is undefined for the type Hashtable..."

Hi,

there could be the problem - I think the mothod is not supported with Creme. Compile your app with JDK1.1.8 - then you see the issues. Once you can compile the App with Creme 1.1.8 then all is fine for PDA. You can compile the JAR file with JDK1.4.2 and run it on PDA - as long as you do not use any instructions that are not supported by 1.1.8.

And the set stuff is not supported in JDK1.1.8 - that is your issue. And this is why it is working on PC but not on PDA - Creme is 1.1.8 compatible only.
