regarding NWDS problem

hi all,

i am facing a problem with NWDS startup. it is not starting. when i am clicking on the icon it is error as follows.

"Problem with the startup. please check .log file in .metadata directory of your workspace".

i re-installed the NWDS but error had not gone. i faced this problem suddenly when i am doing a application. please provide solution for me.

Hi,

1. Close your NWDS

2. Navigate to this path <installation drive>:\Documents and Settings\<logged in user>\Documents\SAP\workspace\.metadata and remove .registry and .lock (if existing) files

3. Restart NWDS

Hi Vikram,

Close the NWDS studio .

1st trying renaming the .metadata folder and then open the studio.

2nd try renaming the workspace folder and then open the studio.

Hi Vikram

You need to have Windows Administrative rights to use NWDS

ask your system admin to logon for you or make your accont as Admin compatible

Hi,

I guess you have proper rights on the system. read write on the folders where the NWDS exists.

Try deleting the metadata and restart the ide.

dont forget to back up if any data exists.
