Hi!
If I have more than one DB in MCOD, do I need more than one listener so that each DB has
its own listener?

It's up to you.
If you want only 1 listener make sure that both instances are contained in the tnsnames.ora file. Make sure the user-ids/groups are correct.
If you want 2 listeners running you can do this as well - see Note 153835
