hi

1.If the DB response in st03 is more than 10,000 secs .how to troubleshoot it?

2.Do we need to back up support patches before applying new ones?if so is that a job of a basis consultant?should we apply support patches only in 000 client or can we apply in any other client?

3. suppose all the users are able to login and one single user is not able to login to sap and is it a authorization problem or is there any other reason for that?how to solve this problem?

1 - What other signs are you seeing that demonstrate that the DB is slow? Are there any long running processes showing up in SM50

2 - Yes. Always backup up your system before applying support packs. This is the quickest way to recover from a botched SP update.

3 - Is the user getting an incorrect message about their password? If so, just reset it using SU01.

Hope that is a good start.
