Strange error in NWDS

Hi all,

I have a strange error in NWDS.When i want to change anything in the layout tab of the NWDS it is throwing some error .

this program cannot dispaly the webpage.

Most likely cases

You are not connected to internet

The website is encountering problems

there might be a typin error in the addressI

It is strange why a bowser is coming in NWDS layout.

It worked fine upto yesterday.One change I made to the system is i installed IE7.0 today.Can anybody help me.

Hi suresh,

Thanx 4 the reply.This is not a portal error.This is the error in layout tab of netweaver developer studio in my local machine when I am developing applications.For your information my portal is on SPS13 and it is working fine with IE7.0.

unsupported versions of IE might cause this issue.

Hi Rajesh,

Your NWDS also needs to be compatible with IE. Probably you are using NWDS 2.0.x .

Hi Rajesh,

You can try to fix this using a patch from MS http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942615

I think SAP havent officially declared the support for IE7 ( Armin have mentioned some where).

Microsoft IE 7 browser version will be supported starting with following Web Dynpro support packages:

NetWeaver04, SPS19, NetWeaver04s, SP10
