It depends if you would like to manage the messages with Monitor tools into SAP PI/XI, you can reprocess the messages and uses asynchronous process instead synchronous. I don't recomend you to use it if you want a fast application. It's better to do a direct connection between Web Dynpro application and SAP R3.
