Dear Experts,
Basically I am SAP MM and logistics Logistics execution Analyst.I would like to explore SRM. Would appreciate if you guys can show smoother path towards SRM learning.
Any training materials and helpful links would be highly appreciated...
Look forward to hearing from you guys.
Cheers...
Umakanth.
Hi Umakanth,
SRM mainly deals with Purchas to Pay cycle.
Inventory Management is not supported in SRM and SRM (stand alone) has no financial accounting. It needs to be integrated with either a SAP or Non SAP Financial system.
SRM is very user friendly and basically a web based tool.
All strategic sourcing functionalities like Bidding, Live Auction, Global Outline Agreements are supported by SRM which otherwise are not there in basic R/3.
Supplier self service is one of the major features of the SRM system.

Hi,
SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) is an extremely important functional area for SAP.
Companies of all sizes are looking to sourcing and procurement for improving bottom-line performance. If you can reduce the cost of purchased goods and services, you can boost profitability without increasing sales or sacrificing quality.
SAP SRM simplifies and automates procurement. The SAP SRM process integrates supplier qualification, negotiation, and contract management more tightly and cost-effectively with other enterprise functions and their suppliers processes through a single framework with support for multichannel suppliers.
The SAP SRM application is designed as a long-term foundation to secure the cost and quality advantages of center-led purchasing and broadened supplier involvement for enduring value and long-term results.
