Hi,
Does anyone know whether the CLIX tool, that is supplied with the SAP Netweaver MDM, is also supplied with the SRM-MDM tool?
Thanx,
Tal
Hi
CLIX can be used from ANY platform, not just Windows. That's one of the primary reasons for its existence, since the Console can't (currently) be used to start MDS on non-Windows platforms. CLIX can also be used in scripts to run administrative tasks on a schedule. It should be used from a DOS prompt (in Windows) as you are doing.
The problem, it would seem, is that you're not specifying the repository's name when you attempt to unmount it. If you examine the help screen for CLIX (run CLIX with no parameters), you can see what parameters you're missing. Usually for operations that affect a repository you have to enter the "DBMS Host Spec" along with the repository name.
CLIX runs on all platforms for which MDM has been released, including Windows, Linux and Solaris (contrasting with the MDM Console, which is exclusively a Windows-based application).
-M
--MEMORYONLY -->Modifies the Set Parameter command to affect only the
parameter in memory but not to save the value in the
mds.ini file. NYI.
