Doubts on Installation of MDM

Hi Techies

1.Can i install MDM in windows 2000 professional

2.Can i install all the server components and client components in one server

3.I am installing Oracle database 9.2.0.7.0 with creating database while installating it is not asking username and password

4.Do i need to install java

IS THIS PROCEDURE CORRECT

1.Installed windoes 2000 professional

2.installed oracle with creating database (9.2.0.7.0)

3.Installed MDM server then MDM import server

4.installed MDM console then MDM data manager then import manger

5.Post installation MDM CLIX

Hi Haroon,

The software can be loaded on a single laptop.

I am going to send u the URL for the installation guide which will help u install this software in stepwise process.

Apart from this that service market place site also contain upgrade information.It also has the business content patches that should also be loaded.The documents are in pdf format .just downlaod it.

Hi Haroon,

1. You can install MDM on windows 2000 professional or on XP

2. If you are talking about server and clients of MDM then its ok u can install MDM Server and its clients onto the same machine.

3. Its good practise to gieve username and password while installing oracle 9.2.

4. No there is no need to install java.

The procedure which u mentioned is correct u can go ahead and use MDM.
