APO LC -> contains transaction data information and master data copy information to do realtime calculations in memory
APO DB (RDBMS)-> contains Master data information and is a persistent memory
(Eg. if someone asks your name, you remember it right in your head and is thus kind of Live Cache or in memory. However if someone asks your roll number when you were in High School, you would need to go through your records but you know you can get it. This is like APO DB. This was a crude example to show the distinction)
usually master data in LC and APO DB are in sync. there are programs to ensure they are in sync
