and also let me know the concepts in XI

Xi is the middleware tool which is used to integrate non sap and sap systems.
Xi consists of following components.
a) SLD
b) Design
c) Configuration
d) Mapping
e) Adapters
f) BPM
g) Monitoring

it all depends upon the system you need to integrate,if you are integrating some legacy system you need to know about it,if its any Database you need to know about that so on and so forth.
but before all that you need to search SDN forum for your specific question,the question you asked has been discussed several times and is very broad to be answered by any expert.
