BOM dates

Hi All

I need to create a BOM that contains different materials depending of what date it is. I.e. the BOM changes from a specific date. Does anyone know how this is set up?

hi,

are you referring to a sales BOM or production BOM. However in case a sales BOM while creating the BOM maintian the required components into it with the required validity dates. So when you create a sales order automatically those components which match the specified date criteria are exploded and not the ones which are out of validity.

Hi Henrik,

If you want MRP to explode your BOMs according to date you can define this:

SAP menu > Logistics > Production > MRP > BOM by Date (OPPP)
