Hi everyone...
I got this version : Oracle9i Release 2 (9.2.0.1) for Win Server2003 but I have a problem with this.
In some many forums about this, i read that i need an special version to install with SAP R3 IDES 4.7. This special version contains a sapserver.cmd file that runs the setup.
If i run the setup.exe without the sapserver.cmd, during the installation appears an error of SAPDB.
Where can i get the correct Oracle version if i dont have a user and password to downloaded from SAP Market Place?
I got the SAP R/3 IDES 4.7 (DVDs)
Please help me!!
i will appreciate so much
best regards

either download it from sapnet or let is be sent to you (dvd)...but you will need the installation guide and the relevant sapnotes - otherwise - if you run into problems - solving these might be an issue ;(
and: you must use the oracle version provided by SAP...and if you plan to use oracle 9i implement patchset 9.2.0.8 as this is the only supported 9i version at the time...you could go for 10g as well

These are good steps, and i know to install ECC/BI you need to have an access id created by solution manager.
I have a different question, if any one know how to install multiple instances on single OS (winodws 2k3 server) please let me know where we have to set saperate SIDs and SYS numbers.
and how the envoirenmental variable be set for different instances and if a VM is mandatory for it and what is more reliable Windows or Linux??
Quick response will be greatly appreciated...
thanks a millll......
