Hi everybody,

we use a mapping for generating the content of an email body.

I have to insert lineBreaks.

How can I do this in message mapping?

Hi,

SXMB_MONI did not show the linebreak.

If I copy the payload into notepad, the linebreak is there!

Mario,

Your question is already answered.

Did using \n helped you?

You seem to have marked the thread as answered and didnt award points.

So i feel anyone who has a similar issue and searches for this thread wont know which thing to do to solve the problem.

This is one of the reasons why points system are there.

Sumit

ps: i know you are a big time contributor in sdn. I think doing a little bit extra will help everyone.

Hi Sumit,

Thanks for your reply.

as I wrote:

I already tried the "\n". But SXMB_MONI confused me. It seemed that it does not work.

But if you copy and paste the payload into wordpad, you will see that the linebreak is there.

So: "\n" worked!

Thanks Regards

Mario,

XSLT mapping is preferred if you have to format your mails. There are a couple of blogs in SDN that demonstrates this.

If all you need is a line break, you can have an UDF and use \n and \t for line break and tab space respectively.

Hi Shankar,

I already tried the attempt with "\n".

This does not work.
