PGI for outbound delivery from QI stock

Hello SAP Gurus,

We need to STO material to another plant. The material is in QI (restricted) and must NOT be moved out of that status. But, our problem is that we can't do a Goods Issue from QI.

In the VL02N there is normally a box that can be checked to indicate that the material is in QI status. But, it looks like that

functionality is turned off in our system.

Is there another way that you can suggest we do the transfer of stock? Or, what would we need to do to get the functionality

in SAP to issue from QI?

goods issues to a delivery can only be made from unrestricted use stock. There is an OSS note about that.

You have to change the status from Q to unrestricted to be able to do the shipment.

I wished it would be possible too.

Do a Transfer posting through MB1B Transaction Code from QI stock to Unresticted Stock. After doing the same, It will allow PGI from Unresticted Stock.

I know it can be done that way, but we are looking for a solution wherein the PGI can be done for a stock in QI status.
