Hi all,
The RFC connection " SAP OSS" does not work in the SOLMAN 4.0. When i try to test the connection , it gives the following error message " Name or password is incorrect. Please re-enter". I have followed the note 982045. Actually, I was trying to download the support packs for our new ECC 6.0 installation. I go to SWDC and there I select the "Maintanence Optimizer" and when i try to " Confirm the files in the dowload basket" it gives the error "Error during call of SAP back end system (see long text)" I have verified the user name and password. Also I can log on to the Service Marketplace directly, however I am not able to using the SOLMAN
Thank you,
Salman Qayyum
Hi Salman,
you probably are talking about RFC connection SAP-OSS. the message wants to say that the user in that RFC has a wrong password. If you test this directly at the destination and it works, then solman uses another destination. This can happen when the badi BADI_SMBI_DESTINATION_SET has been implemented and is active. You can check which destination is called when you go to transaction SLG1 object SOLAR, subobject SAP_BACKEND and check the messages there.
Regards
Andreas

1. Check if the aiuser is assigned to s-user. If you dint assaign please do so.
2. Check if you have provided the s-user id for connection to SAP and rfc connection as SAPOSS.
