Hello

I have trouble executing the Configuration Wizard: Change Management Service (CMS): Modify a Software Component

When I run this wizard I get this error messages:

Step 2/37

Retrieve Local Host URL

Step: CMS Common Process

Where is this local host url defined?

I have completed the service "Initial setup of functional unit Development Infrastructure (DI all-in-one)" and that was successfully.

Any help is appreciated

Ah well the problem is solved for me (I am the same guy as GPH support )

I upgraded the CIM model to the latest version that supports CE application on NWDI 7.0 (as mentioned earlier). After that I tried to create a CE track and that failed with the error mentioned above. In an OSS note (related to CTC but not to this error) I found that you had to upgrade to the latest version of the LM tools.

Since we are running SP14 I upgraded to SP14 patch 04 and now it is solved. During this upgrade the server is restarted which I did not do after the CIM upgrade yet. So it is either solved by the restart after the CIM model upgrade or it is solved by applying a later version of the LMtools ( I think the last option).

Hope it solves it for you guys too.

Any progress guys?

I encountered the same problem, I just updated my CIM model to be able to use NWDI 7.0 for CE application development on a CE portal.

If anyone was able to solve this then please let us know how? I will search further as well in meantime.

Cheers,

Nico...

Were you able to solve this issue by following the notes given by Srinivasan? Could you please reply us the way you have solved that issue. I am also facing similar problem while executing configuration wizard for cms.

THanks, Venkat

Just to let you know - i am facing the same problem with NWDI NW 7.0 SP14. All i can figure out is that the inbox for CMS on my system is /usr/sap/trans/EPS-ndi/in/CMSsap-ssm-01NDI/CMS/inbox and that I copied in all of the SP14 .SCA files into this directory that are available for the DI usuage type just in case they were needed. This does not appear to have any affect, though there were some files processed indicated in the /usr/sap/trans/EPS-ndi/in/CMSsap-ssm-01NDI/CMS/archives directory.

Perhaps other .SCA files are needed. I wish i knew more about this.

Sincerely,

Steven McElwee, Duke University

PS- I opened a customer message with Sap Marketplace about this. If i receive a substantive response i will let you know. Otherwise, please share any solution you might find.

Hi,

Is your SLD configured? Have you imported the content into SLD? Looks like the wizard looks for a SC withc isn't definied in SLD.

My SLD is configured, but, as you suggested, the content is not registered. Thanks!

Hi,

Refer to SAP Notes,

1113550 - NullPointerException-DI all-In-one Template NW04s SP13/SP14

Hope these help!
