GOA - is there any provision for Account Assignment?

Dear Friends,

We are working on Global Outline Agreement business scenario where line items are distributed to backend as R/3 Contract.

Now the issue is standard there is not provision to update Account assignment information for GOA line item. Which means system always tries to create contract in backend with <blank> Item Category and <blank> account assignment. Due to which distributed contracts are always created for standard stock Item with <blank> Item category and <blank> account assignment.

Is my understanding correct?

And if we would like to control the account assignment then the logic has to be incorporated in BADI BBP_CTR_BE_CREATE before passing it to backend IDOC.

Or is there any provision to update Account assignment for GOA line item? so that backend contract is created accordingly.

GOA is typically used across departments and systems and hence account assignment is not provided.

If you need to define the account assignment category and account assignment as well within GOA, you may use customer fields concept.

But, I think you do not have accounting fields in BBP_CTR_BE_CREATE or in BBP_CTR.

You will have to think of other means. Have only these following ideas :

- will exit MM06E005 work ?

- You can also add Account Assignment after creating the contract in ERP. You may run a scheduled program picking the account assignment info from GOA customer fields using RFC FM?
