Hello all,
When running a test of ADS (FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE in se38) in our SCM 2007 system, I get the error -> SYSTEM ERROR: com.adobe.ProcessingException: CORBA conncetion to XMLForm failed please verify the binaries are deployed to the os_libs directory.
From what I can tell I've done the necessary post installation steps for ADS. If anyone has seen this and has a suggestion of how I might resolve this, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi Rishi Abrol
Thanks a lot for your input ...
Nevertheless my problem is not the issue of ADS configuration. After deployment of SPS18 it stoped working because it simply could not find the correct binaries therefore /usr/sap/BJ1/JC70/j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/bin/XMLForm.exe terminates abnormally with error code 1.
While at our Quality system (that is not upgraded yet) are the ADS files with extensiones for Linux system
I am just trying to find out why the files are deplyed incorectly by SDM. Oss is allready opened for this issue but SAP is working a byt slow therefore I am looking for other helping hand as well
Regards
Ivan

Hi,
Please find the step that you need to configure for Local ADS.
1 Testing the Adobe Document Service
Check the adobe services on JAVA System by using the
URL: http://hostname.domain:5xx00/wsnavigator
Click AdobeDocumentService->Click on Test ->rpData->then Send ->then enter ADSUSER and password.
2 Test the RFC Connection in ABAP Side
Goto SM59 and then check the RFC connection under the HTTP connection to external server.
this Rfc should point to its own .
3 Activate the ICF service in ABAP Side
Log on to your SAP Web AS ABAP system
Choose transaction SICF.
Choose default host u2192 sap u2192 bc u2192 fp in the tree.
Choose Service/Virt.Host u2192 Activate
4 Configuration in Destination Visual Admin
Create the destination FP_ICF_DATA_SID under HTTP
Under the Url give http://hostname.domain:80xx
User ADS_agent and password here.
5 Execute Following reports in ABAP Side
Goto se38 : Program name, Now Execute report FP_PDF_TEST_00
Now run the report FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE
once run this report without checking the destimation and after thet run with checking the destination box.both should return the same number of bytes as per note 944221
Thanks

hi gurus
We have the similar issue... Once we try to do a Print to PDF it results in
Result(1): Results is: Processing exception during a "Render" operation.
Request start time: Wed May 27 14:55:33 CEST 2009
com.adobe.ProcessingException: CORBA Connection to XMLForm failed, please verify the binaries are deployed to the os_libs directory and that the XML Form Module service is started.
You may be running on a non-supported platform.
We are on NW 7.0 SPS18. Previously under SPS13 it was working but after upgrade to 18 it stoped working.
We have fined also the roote cause (at least I think so) but have no idea how to solve it.
After upgreda the files under `/usr/sap/BJ1/JC70/j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/bin have been extracted as .sl (example libpdfl.sl.8.1_nlr'). So far so good but as we are running our BI system under Linux these files should looks like .so. (example libpdfl.so.8.1_nlr')...
The other important input is that we are running DB under HP-UX and WAS is running under Linux. This should be the cause but as far as under SPS13 it was not a problem I would expect the same under SPS18 ...
If there is someone with any solution for us please let us know. I really appreciate any input
Thanks a lot in advance

Ivan

Hi,
Was this working previously in your system.
If not you need to configure the ADS settings in the visual admin
of your java stack. Also check the http://seervice.sap.com/spam
whether the ADS is supported or not for your platform. As far as i know you should have java support package stack level of 11 at least.Still you face the problem please let me know.

Vamshi.
