The GUI gets dropped off every 10 minutes the version is 64, ptach lvl 24 I know its a BASIS question but ...

Sorry ! just that the first thing that comes to mind when posting is SECURITY !!

Also the issue is solved. Solution is no tmentoned here as I dont want to increase the devaition of the topic!

If these 10 minutes form a period of inactivity look for routers and firewalls blocking SAP network traffic.

SAP sends keepalive signals (like echo pings) to determine whether inactive terminals are 'just inactive' or if they're switched off (or the gui has been killed with ctr-alt-del).

If the keepalive response doesn't reach the SAP server in time the session is terminated automatically.

What's with the basis q in the security forum? You like us so much or do the basis guys bite?
