How to merge Similar IDOCs in R/3 ?

Hi Experts,

I want to merge similar Idocs into an single IDoc in R/3 and then send to XI for further transformation.

Is it possible to do that ?

Please give ur thoughts.

Hi,

You can not merge the similar IDOC at R3 into one IDOC but you can collect the similar IDOC and send it to XI.

IDOC can be collected in two ways.

1) At R3 end: u have to collect the IDOC and that IDOC will be saved as a XML file at R3 and you need to poll that file from Xi using the File adapter.

2) At Xi end. using BPM or go for IDOC pacakging.
