transporting (using file system) Integration Builder: Configuration objects

Hi Forum,

I use file system transport to export and import my

Integration Builder: Design objects......

but i dont know how do i transport Integration Builder: Configuration objects

for example in my development system ...i made a file to RFC scenario (file->XI->R/3), so in configuration, i have a business service, business system, 2 communication channels, 1 receiver determination, etc,

What are the steps to transport them....

Should i first tranport the BS and TS in development SLD to Prod SLD, but the R/3 system used (in the scenario) in dev and prod are different, or shall i make the TS and BS fresh in the Production SLD, and then transport receiver determination, interface determination, etc...

pls help

thanks and regards,

hi sudeep

if you can export your ID and IR individually. When you go to your design select the Tool tab. there is a option EXPORT DESIGN object select it and go ahead accordig to requirment. Similar steps for configuration also. you can also refer to links that chirag had given you.

Thanks

Hi Sudeep,

There are two methods by which u can transport the object using file and CMS.

Transport process for ID and IR objects is

1) Tools-> Export

2) Ask for two option FIle or CMS

3) Select the any of them either whole SWCV,whole Namespace or individual objects.

4) Finish and it will give the .tpz file

5) pick that file from file sever and follow the import option in ID and IR.

CMS

Now transporting the Dev BS objects to QA you need to follow the below steps.

Once you have created SLD in Dev below transport mechanism is used for transporting the obj from DEV to QA and PROD:

Transport mechanism

1. Create Technical System and Business Systems for the QA system.

2. Create Transport Groups in the Business System.

3. Create Transport Targets in the Source Business SYstem.

Check the link for:

Your SWCV can be exported and imported using TPZ files into the IR.

The ID also use TPZ files and as the objects are imported , the business system details will be filled up .
