Resending a cancelled message ?

Scenario

1. Messages errors

2. Message is cancelled due to error

3. Turns out the error was due to java stack issues

4. Resend message ??????

When I try to resend currently I receive a message saying "You cannot restart XML message with the status/type"

As a best practise, errored messages are supposed to be cancelled only if reprocessing of the message is not possible. As said in the message you can not restart a cancelled message. The best option would be to send the message again from the sender system. If this is not possible, you can use the work around "Test message" option available in RWB to post the message directly to pipeline.
