can anyone say me the difference between the sales order type 'OR' and 'S'?
regards,
divya.s
hello, friend.
without additional info to go on, i can only speculate that your "S" document type was a user created document type, either as a copy from an existing one, or as a type defined from "scratch".
what you can do is execute VOV8 for both OR and S in separate screens and compare them side by side, and try to observe the minutest differences between the two types.

hi,
the sales order type OR is standard sales order in SAP.As far as i know there is no standard sales order type as S in SAP.
So can you please tell me What do you want to do by Sales document type S.This will help me to clarify your quiery.
Thanking you,

Divya,
Let me take a guess probably its MS instead of "s" which is used as a product type during making Item proposal or product proposal.
(item proposal-nothing but list of product just to facilitate end user from entering no.of product in the order)
which inturn assign into customer master sales view.and again get fatched up during order creation.( choose edit - propose item during creation)
unfortunatly both are order type utilised for different pourposes.
