Java stack support pack level

Is it advisable to have all the components of the java stack at the same support pack / patch level? From what I understand, it should not matter if some of the components are patched to a higher level than others. What am I risking doing so?

Thanks

Hi,

It doesnot effect,if they are totally independent components. But,it doeseffect,if they are dependent components.

For ex:In java stack,SAPJTECHS works only after the deployment of SAPJTECHF component.

Similarly in NWDI setup,CMS and DTR components are dependent on CBS component.

So,i guess,it is a better option to keep all components at the same stack level,to have better performance......

Thanks for the reply Usha, In that case, would SAP not release the same SP levels for dependent components?

Definitely, definitely, keep all components at the latest Support Package. Can't stress this enough

Patch level doesn't matter. Feel free to implement whatever patch level you want on an individual level.
