Hi All,

I am going through the Post Steps of my LiveCache install manual. When I run transaction LC10 -> Enter DB Connection ->LiveCache Monitoring ->

Administration ->Operating, Administration ->Initialize LiveCache, it

gives me an error:

1/15/2008 12:23:27

Server: SAPDEVQA

Users: WETMORD

Logical Command: DBMRFC

Parameter: exec_lcinit -e unicode init

Name and Server : LCX - sapliv01

DBMRFC Function : DBM_EXECUTE

Command : exec_lcinit -e unicode init

Error : DBM Error

Return Code : -24909

Error Message : ERR_DBAUNKNOWN: Database system administ

My RFC's test successful.

A test in DB59 is successful.

LCA03 Gives me a DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR / CX_SY_NATIVE_SQL_ERROR

Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks,

Diana

Hi Diane,

did you install a DB instance in the LiveCache with LCX ? ... it doesn't sound like that ...

You should have a look with the DBMGUI and check which DB instances are available there.

What DB Patch are you using ?

Yes, my LiveCache database is named LCX. How do I check my DB Patch level?

Thanks,

Diana

Here is my patch level, I believe: LCX "e:/sapdb/lcx/db" 7.6.0.29

Hi Diana,

the error basically says that the server does not recognize the given DB Administrator (SYSDBA).

I'd first check the credentials supplied in LC10. There you maintain user SAP<sid> for SQL access and a DBM user. Check the DBM user's password (e.g. by logging on through DBMGui). Also check that this user has sufficient rights to perform the initialization.

Best regards,

Dorothea

PS. The server version is shown in DBMGui, once you connected to the server. You can also display it by executing the following command from any host that has the MaxDB client software installed:

dbmcli -d <lc_name> -u <dbm_user>,<pwd> -n <lc_host> dbm_version

On i5/OS you'd have to execute the command from the PASE shell (CALL QP2TERM).

Hi Diana,

in the SCM system re-enter the password for the DBM user in LC10 ---> <con> ---> Integration for each connection. Then try same user/password in the DBMGui.

Thanks. But it seems all my user's have lost there rights. I cannot log on (DB Manager or SQL Studio) with SUPERDBA, Control or SAPLCX. I can no longer get to LiveCache Monitoring in LC10. I don't know what has happened.

Hi Diana,

are you getting the same error message still?

When I set the User ID as SAPLCX in LC10, it was giving me errors as if SAPLCX didn't exist, or have permissions to do the LiveCache initialization, so I was following instructions to create SAPLCX w/SUPERDBA permissons,:

dbmcli on LCX> user_create SAPLCX,<pswd> SUPERDBA

That is where everything went wrong. I'm not sure what happened. I think I am just going to re-install and start over with the new knowledge I've gained going through this failed install/setup.

I really appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Diana
