Netweaver and Fax Devices

Hello All,

A client I am working with is under the impression that a netweaver product is able to talk directly to a fax device(Fax Modem, or Brooktrout Fax Board).

From my experience a third part product is required to handle the document faxing. A likely products is RightFax.

Can anyone prove or deny this?

Hello David,

just this week I connected our CRM WebAS 6.20 to RightFax. AFAIK also with Netweaver (WebAS => 6.40) you have to use a 3rd party product to FAX out from SAP. Configuration is done via SM59 for the RFC Destination and SCOT for the Message routing.
