hi,
The create jco connection are
disabled since first you need to create a technical system.
A technical system is a logical concept.
To define a new technical system, open the following page
http://<host>:<port>/sld->Link Technical Landscape
On the first screen press new Technical system.
Select Web AS Abap and press next.
Enter the SID of the SAP system, the installation number and the name of the DB host,After logged on to the SAP sytem ,the installation number can be found on the popup appearing when choosing the menu System->Status
Press next.
Follow on if u have any problems revert back.
regards,
nikhil

HI
1)Check the Message server port no , you can get these details from your Basis person
2) Http:///sld to login into this, you need to have admin rights.after logging in . goto Administration link, look the server status..it should be in RUNNING. its better to stop the server once and restart the server again
3) Http:///sld --> home > technical systems> web as abap > jco connections> create jco connections. so that you can now access the Create and Maintain JCO in your Content Adminstration-->WebDynrpo.
4) One more reason might be your portal admin password might be in expiry period.change your password and check once
5) Check the security policy in UME ,if it is technical user, then change it to default.
Best Regards

The buttons are disabled because first you have to configure the SLD ...only then those buttons would be enabled for maintaining Jco destinations..
