Hi all

I have a problem while using the import maps. I hav generated all xml files for lookup tables for material from SAP R/3 and when trying to use std import maps(from business content) I am getting following error :

logon error: Failed to parse XML file

while connecting to the source I m giving xml schema and also specifying the xsd file for MDM lookup tables.the XML files generated are also correct.

I m able to import data when I am importing without the maps. Please help.

regards-

Hi ravi,

Hope u r using ZMDME_EXTRACT_MATERIALS_553 program to extract lookup data.

Use standard XSDs which comes with repository.

Thanks,

Maheshwari.

Hi Ravi,

using MDMGX is the correct way to go. The emntioned report is kind of a pre-version of MDMGX but you should not use it as it is outdated and not longer supported with the latest MDM versions. You should really try to validate your XML file with the XSD you are using. Then you'll get an idea what is wrong in your XML!

Hi Ravi,

As you mentioned you are using XML schmea as well during import process , validate first you xml file against your XML schema.

This error usually comes if xml is not according to schema. Import manager parses xml file against provided xml schema.

So better you first validate your file.

Hi Ravi,

You can do this using any XML software. Free versions are available on internet. I can provide you with few names Liquid XML , Altova XML(trial version).
