HI All,

I need a small help regarding the compatibility of the follwing components on AIX 5.2 Operating System.

1)Oracle 9.2.0.4

2)SAP WAS 6.40 SP13

3)SAP Enterprise Portal software 6.0 SP 13

4)KM & Collaboration SP 13

5)TREX 6.1 SP13

Does the above product compostion represent a stable environment ??

Is SP 13 is a stable version ? Has it been released for customers??

or Its better to go for SP12 only !!

Waiting for your replies!!!

Best Regards,sandip

Hi,

SP13 is stable and released for customers (in fact shortly we'll release SP14).

Your configuration should be fine, just be aware that TREX only runs on 32-bit.

Jochen

HI Jochen,

i guess i am in some kinda confusion...In the PAM ppt which i downloaded from marketplace, its written TREX 6.1 is supported on AIX 5.2 & at the same time, its written it should be on a 32 bit machine..

Does AIX 5.2 run on a 32 bit machine ?? If not , then how to resolve this contradiction ??

Regards,sandip

Hello,

Yes it's true that TREX 6.1 is a 32 bit application, and AIX 5.2 , 5.3 are 64 bit OS, but they are also compatible with 32 bit applications, so you can run TREX on AIX.

Of course you will not have great advantage in using an expensive 64 bit system, for a 32 bit application.

Since this blog was written on '04, thus TREX 6.1 now support 64-bit on Windows 2003?

Thanks.

James
