EBP Cost Center Problem

Hi Team,

We are in development of a report to show where the Account Assignment of a Shopping Cart is not linked to the cost centre of the approver for that cart.

For example: Shopping Cart created with Internal Order 123456. Internal Order is linked to cost centre E123. Shopping cart is approved by Manager1 who is responsible for cost centre E456. We want to know when Manager 1 has approved items against any cost centre other than his own E456.

Now in the above scenario, my questions are,

Where do I find relevant cost centre for an approver in EBP organisation?

Is it mandatory that every EBP user / approver linked to cost centre?

Whether a EBP user can be assigned to multi cost centre?

Hi Kiran,

In the root organization the Cost Center attribute can either be assigned directly to the concerned user or the user inherits from the Org. unit to which cost center is assigned using PPOMA_BBP transaction.

The user can be assigned to any number of cost centers.

Invariably every user is linked to an account assignment category like cost center, WBS etc as the cost incurred on him has to be accounted some where.

Hi,

You need to maintain the attribute 'CNT' in the org structure at user level or may be upper levels and then inherit it org structure.

You need to define the values wrt to yr backend system.

You can assign multiple cost centres also then users will see drop down box for the same.

One more point affecting the search help for cost center is authorisation for the resp role in PFCG i.e.

say the user role is SAP_BBP_STAL_EMPLOYEE

you go to PFCG

go to roles

doubleclick on inbuilt single role ....EC_BBP_EMPLOYEE

click on tab authorozation

go to display/change auth data

go to BBP component

go to first option 'SRM: Allgemeine Zugangsberechtigungen im EBP'

check 'BE_F4_HELP' is flagged.

If no tick here you will not see binoculur in EBP for user of that role

Also since you are developing a report,you can use the FM "BBP_READ_ATTRIBUTES" to find the value of a cost centre which is assigned toa user in the Org Structure.
