mto and mts for the same material with material code

Hi i am creating a sales order with MTO&MTS in a single order with a single material codes but with mulltiple line items how to handle this scenario.

which item category and requirement type that the system has will pick up for the two line items

Hi Seshu,

You have asked a very general question that people may avoid answering, because they might need more detail. What system are you using?

You will probably need to search for an item category group that is for Make to Order, and then use a custom item cat. Try looking for example item category groups configured in a sandbox system. Hopefully that will help.

Dear victoria,

Actually i solved my problem my slef .system doesn't know is it a mto/mts in that case manual intervention is required .so for that what we need to do is manaually if we change the item category

that is more than enough .for that for mto iten category determnation default should be your mto item category but for manual itemgory should be the your mts item category.
