kernel updataion in SR2

In ERP 2005 SR2 it has default kernel level as 111 .For support package & TMS should we have to go with another kernel or Can we do with an existing kernel itself.

Is it necessary to update the kernel level from 111 to a new one.If its so then which kernel is reliable one.

I updated the kerel to 114 but dispatcher turns into yellow colour with a message "dispatcher started but dialog queue standstill" and not able to login

Check dev_disp and dev_w0 in the work directory of the instance.

I´m pretty sure that this is not the error which is causing the instance to die.

Check dev_w0 also - if in doubts, post the file content here.

I suggest to install the latest one - means, installing SAPEXE and SAPEXEDB (for the full kernel patch to 114) and then update to the latest dw.SAR, tp.SAR, R3trans* and lib_dbsl*.
