What TREX version do you use?

The note 522821 dates from 2002 and refers to a very old version of TREX (TREX 5.0).

TREX 5.0 + TREX 6.0 are no longer supported by SAP.

If TREX 6.1 is installed, you should find the TREX installation here:

<TREX_DIR> Installation directory for TREX. The path to the directory is:

On UNIX: /usr/sap/trex_<instance_number>

On Windows: <disk_drive>:\usr\sap\trex_<instance_number>

If a TREX 7.0 is installed, you should find the TREX installation here:

<TREX_DIR>

Installation directory for TREX. The path to the directory is:

On UNIX /usr/sap/<sapsid>/trx<instance_number>

On Windows <disk_drive>:\usr\sap\<SAPSID>\TRX<instance_number>

Only TREX 7.0:

For details of the RFC connection between TREX and the application using TREX, see TREX admin tool (stand-alone) --> Landscape area --> RFC --> RFC Destination (sm59). If you use a central gateway, info about the "Gateway Host" and "Gateway Service" should by displayed on screen.

TREX 7.0: How to start the TREX admin tool (stand-alone)

1. Log on to your system with the user <sapsid>adm.

2. Carry out one of the following steps:

UNIX

Enter the following:

cd <TREX_DIR>

./TREXAdmin.sh

Windows

Start the TREX admin tool by double-clicking <TREX_DIR>\TREXAdmin.bat in Windows Explorer.

For details of the TREX 7.0 admin tools, see SAP Help Portal docu:

As T-Rex can be installed with quite a few components, my best suggestion would be to ask the basis guys...
