Guys,

Let me know the main differences between MDM 3.0 and MDM 5.5

Hi Anandha,

MDM 3.0 is an older release which is not longer available for purchase. It is based on the SAP WebAS ABAP meaning that the main programming language used in dev was ABAP, the UI was the PCUI from the CRM application, and so on.

MDM 5.5 is the current release. It uses a different technology (C++) and UI for the local clients.

Generally both versions support the common MDM scenarios (e.g. Harmonization), object types (e.g. Customer, Vendor, Product, etc.), extraction and distribution of the objects, the content can be displayed in SAP EP.

If you are new to MDM you should concentrate on MDM 5.5 as this is the way to go.

Hi,

if you have access to service market place Please refer SAP Note 853575 for mdm 3.0.

and SAP Note 1025897 for mdm 5.5 release.
