brconnect/verify job problem

Hi all,

Iam newbie into MaxDB database.

We have problem with the verify and brconnect job in livecache. Both this jobs are is fired from external UC4 tool.

The SAP system is version SCM 5.0 and runs on Solaris 5.9 box with livecache version:

KERNEL 7.6.00 BUILD 029-123-130-265

The job log UC4 shows following log for verify job:

dbmcli -d LCG -n mchp75sa -uUTL -tpi G27 -tpp no_longer_used -tpc LCA db_execute check data

Error! Connection failed to node mchp75sa for database LCG:

tp error: connect failed

and the job log for brconnect displays below log:

Can't exec program </sapdb/LCG/db/pgm/pu> : No such file or directory

I have checked in OS level but Iam unable to find the "pu" file which the brconnect job is refering to.

Iam really not aware about technical usage of this file in livecache environment .

I have checked in LC10 and its displays livecache operational state running status.

Also I checked in other SAP system ( SCM 4.1) which has livecache version

KERNEL 7.5.0 BUILD 035-123-123-944

I can see the pu file in the same path.

Does any MaxDB expert has any ideas ?

Hi,

Check SAP Note 599077 - Update statistics with xpu in SAP DB Version 7.4.02

Although you have a higher version, the note is worth looking at, since the problem is similar to yours.
